On the poem, Rachid Derbas says:
«أنا جدٌّ لخمستهم»
“I wrote my poem «أنا جدٌّ لخمستهم» for my five grandchildren. I played it for the late artist Ahmad Kaabour, who gave it an enchanting melody and recorded it as a song in which he invited me to perform with him.”
